The Nest

The American Nightmare Dream.  Owning your own home.  After months of highs and lows Jay & I bought our little Nest in December of 2011.  Thankfully she (yes, our house is a she) was in move in condition.  All we needed was a few fix ups and cosmetic changes.  I'm so excited for this!  The architect/contractor wannabe in me is in Disneyland.  My head is swarming with ideas of remodling and decorating.  I'm not sure Jay is ready for this, but he's getting there.

The first thing we did was pull out the hideous "landscaping" in the front yard.  Landscaping is a little over kill.  The front yard consisted of dead grass, an overgrown rose bush, an unkept Birds of Paradise, weeds and more rose bushes along the walk way to the house.  Yum....who would but rose bushes along an entry walkway?!? Definetly not a family with a toddler.  A week worth of work and a landscape dumpster rental from Bertolloti and TA DA!!

Isn't she wonderful?!?

Beautiful.  Still a little more work in the front yard, but already 100% better.

Keep checking back as we update paint, floors, cabinets. furniture and landscaping.
